Introduction
The Smith family is about to go on a weekend vacation. They all have different ideas of where they want to go, and cannot agree on a trip. They have decided to ask a group of experts where they should be going. By looking at the provided websites, your group will become the experts. It will be your job to; 1.) choose a destination, 2.) book plane tickets, and 3.) book a hotel, while staying within their budget.
The Project
The family has given 3 options of where they would like to stay:
Mom and Dad would like to go to Acapulco, Mexico.
Jonny, their son, who is 17 wants to go to Honolulu, Hawaii.
And Allison, the daughter, who is 16 wants to go to Miami, Florida.
As a family, they would like to spend $4,000 or less on the entire trip, including airfare and hotel. They would like to have at least $1,000 dollars left after flight and hotel expenses. They agree that wherever they go, they would like 2 rooms, with at least one of them with a beach view.
As a group, it is your job to ensure that all of your choices meet the budget. Assume that the family will be leaving from the Portland, Oregon airport and that they will be staying at their hotel for 3 nights. They will be leaving on a Thursday and returning on Sunday.
What you will need to present is a brochure that includes pictures of the destination and hotel, a description of the resaurant, and a list of the costs (plane tickets and hotel rooms)

Student #1
Student number 1, you are in charge of finding plane tickets for the entire family. You will want to be sure that you can buy 4 tickets at a price that allows money to be spent on the hotel room. You should use the Expedia website to check airfares for each destination. Check if prices vary depending on which weekend you will go or even different times of the day. You will need to work with your group to be sure that the price of the plane tickets and the price of the hotel fits inside the budget of $4,000, with at least $1,000 leftover.
Student #2
It is your task to choose a hotel. Keep in mind that the Smiths would like 2 rooms, with at least one with a view of the beach. The Smiths will be staying Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night. The total hotel cost combined with the cost of the plane tickets should not exceed $3,000, so you will need to keep track of the rates.
Student #3
Student number 3, you are in charge of creating the brochure. This brochure should include a description of the destination with pictures, pictures of the hotel, as well as at least 2 suggestions of things to do in the area.
